Welcome to Scouting in the Catholic Church for the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph (Missouri). Having gone from Bobcat to Eagle Scout, I know firsthand the many benefits offered by the programs of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA)

Lord Baden Powell, founder of the Boy Scouts, believed that every individual should foster a strong relationship with God. He made this a key component of the Scouting movement. Churches in the United States serve as the major chartering organization for units.

Our Catholic Committee on Scouting works hard to provide our youth and adults in the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph (MO) with opportunities to grow spiritually and intellectually.

• An annual retreat is offered for youth, 
• Adult offerings at the retreat include:
  • Religious Emblems Counselor training
  • National Catholic Leadership Development.
• Religious emblems programs are offered for each age group
• Mass is celebrated on Sundays for Scouts attending the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation
