Mary has been involved with Pack/Troop 161 for 19 years. She is a merit badge counselor, Wood Badge Trained and is an Honored Woman in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. She’s also a Bronze Pelican and St. George emblem recipient. Mary has earned the Jerusalem Cross after attending
Scouting in the Catholic Church at the Philmont Training Center. The course is sponsored by the National Catholic Committee on Scouting.
Mary served as a religious emblems counselor facilitating the Ad Altare Dei class for 10 years.
As a youth, she was in Girl Scouting and earned the organization’s highest honor, The Gold Award in 1980. She served as a Girl Scout Leader for 5 years.
Mary is married and has two grown children, Jamie and Josh. Jamie was in Girl Scouting and earned the Silver Award. Josh is an Eagle Scout and a Runner in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.
She currently handles the religious emblems for the CCS, and is the co-chair for the Catholic Retreat as well.
Mary is a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Independence, Vice-President of the Altar & Rosary Society and volunteers on several committees for parish events.
